ARKARRA LAGOONS

Arkarra: place of many ducks

The name Arkarra was given to the lagoons by Butchulla Aboriginal Elder, Aunty Olga Miller.

Arkarra Lagoons are well known for their natural beauty and the ducks that take residence within the lagoons.

Featuring timber boardwalks through one of the last remaining remnants of littoral vine forest, a picnic shelter and seating to watch the ducks, fish and turtles in the lagoons, Arkarra Lagoons is a must see!
